Floris Boekema wins Graduation Prize with research on efficient logistics for wind farms at sea
FEB student Floris Boekema has won the Service Logistics Forum Graduation Prize for his thesis on the condition-oriented production and maintenance of offshore wind farms. According to the jury report, Boekema’s thesis stood out positively because of its scientific quality, innovative character and the concise writing style. Boekema compensated for the lack of a case study with an extensive sensitivity analysis, presenting valuable recommendations in this way.
The prizewinning research was supervised by PhD student Michiel uit het Broek and Professor Ruud Teunter of the Operations department, and forms part of the FEB research programme on efficient logistics for wind at sea . Boekema is a student of Industrial Engineering and Management and received the prize during the recent Service Logistics Summit 2017.
