PhD candidate Roel Post has been awarded the third prize of the ‘Dutch Gas Industry Prize 2016’ for his master thesis ‘Joint evaluation of LNG road infrastructure development and potential user adoption in the Netherlands’. The thesis research, for his MSc Industrial Engineering and Management, was supervised by Nick Szirbik and Iris Vis and was part of the Dinalog project ‘Design of LNG networks’.

In his research, Roel developed an innovative simulation-based approach to gain insight in the minimum LNG stations infrastructure requirements to render LNG fueled road-transportation economically and environmentally beneficial. The prize, and monetary reward of €2000, will be given in November.
