Debt
Trailer of "Debt: the good, the bad and the ugly"

Money is nothing more than debt created by banks. On the one hand this has led to our enormous wealth but on the other hand it is responsible for the recent mortgage bubbles and financial crisis. How does a debt crisis work? And how can we prevent crises and get out of our current one?

In his movie “Debt: the good, the bad and the ugly” associate professor Dirk Bezemer of the FEB explains how all our money is debt that is created by banks, how misuse of this privilege leads to asset booms and crises. Finally Bezemer presents some solutions on how we can reduce our Debts and prevent future crises.

All this is presented in a new film format where the power of video and simple animations is used to make a complex story accessible – perhaps even entertaining!
