Studying with a performance disability

About 10 to 15% of students study with a performance disability of some sort, for example a physical disability, a psychiatric problem or a chronic illness. The Student Service Centre offers several groups for students encountering problems.

If you are dealing with depression we recommend that you check the website on student depression. For depression and other (study-related) personal issues there are psychological counsellors as well.

Possibilities for advice and support

For intensive support and extensive advice you can also go to other people and organizations within and outside the RUG: Student Service Centre: student counsellors, psychological counsellors and workshops; ECIO , the UG Confidential Advisor. For more information, go to ‘Studying with a disability’.
