Ruben: "Studying energy made me well-prepared to help face the challenge of the energy transition"

Are you curious what the Energy Focus Area means for you and what it entails?

The energy sector is changing dramatically. Conventional power firms are reporting financial losses, while consumers are facing lower electricity prices but, at the same time, higher energy taxes in order to finance the subsidies for renewables.

The transition to renewables fundamentally affects energy markets and the energy sector. Conventional energy producers using fossil fuels have to reinvent themselves in order to deal with this energy transition and the design of energy markets has to be reconsidered.

Completing the FEB Energy Focus Area gives you specialised knowledge to help you successfully navigate the economic, business and financial challenges facing the energy sector.

Completing the Energy Focus Area

FEB students can complete the Energy Focus Area if they:

  1. Choose and successfully complete two of the four following electives:
    A. Energy & Finance

    D. Marketing and Consumer Well-being
    E. Sustainable Energy Supply
