Corporate Master Programme
Frequently Asked Questions - Companies & Organisations
Will other partners/companies join the programme, including companies based abroad?
FEB works with preferred and trusted partners in many collaborative efforts. Many of our partners have agreed to participate in the CMP and have made one or more positions available. Currently participating organisations are ING, Gasunie, the Conference Board, UNICEF and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Conference Board is based abroad, with offices in New York, Beijing and Brussels.
Is there a chance of being employed by the company after completing the CMP?
This could well be the case since the CMP offers a valuable introduction to several top companies and organisations. It gives you an opportunity to present yourself as a possible future employee and puts you in touch with company management and staff. They will get a chance to work with you and see how you perform on the job. However, the CMP is not a traineeship with a guaranteed job once it is over. It offers you connections and an introduction – an opportunity, in other words. It is encouraging to know that half of the CMP students taking part in 2015-2016 have already secured a job in the organisation where they are doing their CMP!
What makes a company or organisation a ‘top’ organisation? What are the criteria?
In the CMP we work with preferred and trusted FEB partners. These are well-known organisations in the public or private sector, ranging from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the ING bank. We look at size, reputation, strategic ambitions, type of business, relevance to the University’s main research themes (energy, healthy ageing and sustainable society) and opportunities for high-quality collaboration and partnership.
Are the positions available within the CMP based on the Faculty’s fields of study? In other words, are there CMP assignments/projects for all the different Master’s specialities?
The CMP offers several positions in different work areas. In 2015-2016 this ranged from risk analysis to business consulting, and from compliance & quality assurance to developing public-private partnerships . At present, organisations are still notifying us of their positions for 2016-2017.
