The Department of Marketing, International Affairs and Communications (MIC) of FEB supports and advises the Faculty Board, the programme directors, the departmental heads and others on developing and improving FEB’s position with regard to external relations and its education and research. MIC has around 20 members of staff and provides support in such areas as internationalisation, marketing and recruitment, internal and external communication, video production, event organisation and research communication. MIC houses a video production team that caters to the Faculty. The team regularly makes audiovisual communication items, from event aftermovies to video lectures.
To help us with the production and distribution of video material of the Faculty, we are looking for a student assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with video content creation, specifically filming and editing. The ability to write video script and do interviews is a plus. The student assistant will be responsible for handling the equipment for filming, the logistics of the shoot, operating the camera, and arranging the transport of the equipment. In addition, the student assistant will edit the video and prepare it for the client. Other responsibilities include helping the team to translate video interviews from Dutch to English and vice versa, and work on the video subtitles for YouTube. The student assistant will work as part of a team comprising five audiovisual staff members known as the FEB Film Crew.

The Faculty of Economics and Business (ECS Department) offers the student assistant with professional guidance, support, studio tour and usage, and salary amounts to €1.736 (scale 6, level 0) gross per month for a 40 hour working scheme per week. The student assistant will work for 8 hours per week. The length of the student assistantship is 6 months (October 2018- March 2019).
