Marieke Zwaan and Elisa Labbas both participated in a Learning Community this year. Together with fellow students and professionals they dived deep into an issue that had their personal interest. Marieke: "You look at totally new aspects of a certain issue; it's very different from regular study activities." Students in LC's can gain more insights and relevant skills additional to their curriculum. Elisa: "It's a great opportunity".
This week, a Learning Community devoted to new business developments in Africa started. When participating, you study these developments in detail and find out more about the contrast between fast moving industrial developments and the attempts to set up and start (industrial/economic) development.
In the new academic year 2017-2018 you can engage in several new learning communities. We expect to announce the new topics by June, so keep an eye on the Student Portal...
This academic year FEB has been running a pilot offering a Master Internship (MI) in five MSc programmes. Good news: in 2017-2018 this pilot will be expanded to nearly all MSc programmes! In the MI, you do an internship related to your MSc programme between February and June 2018, directly after your first semester. The MI offers you the opportunity to gain work experience, combine theory and practice and explore your career interests and skills. It will be officially listed as an extra-curricular course on your MSc diploma and you will receive a separate MI certificate, listing your internship company’s name upon completion.
