We are looking for eight teaching assistants to teach the tutorials of Organizational Behavior (OB) for IB. The course is taught in the first year of the IB bachelor program and is coordinated by Sanne Feenstra, MSc. The lectures are given by Prof. Eric Molleman and Prof. Floor Rink and tutorials are coordinated by drs. Hans van Polen.
Your job is to supervise three groups of about fifteen students each, for a total of seven two-hour meetings. These weekly meetings take place on, Wednesday (09:00-15:00), Thursday (09:00 – 17:00) and Friday (09:00 – 15:00), in weeks 46-51 and week 2 (between November, 2018 and January, 2019). You must be available in that period. There will be a preparatory meeting for teaching assistants in the week before the start of the course (week 45), as well as in each week of the course on Mondays (13:00 – 15:00).
During each tutorial, two student teams give a presentation. In addition, students do exercises and are given the opportunity to ask questions about the course materials. Student-assistant will grade the presentations given during tutorials.
· You are (at least) a third year BA, or a MA student
· You have followed a course in OB and can demonstrate that you are interested in HRM and OB (e.g., as shown by high grades, master choice, and so on)
· You have good didactical skills
· You are available in weeks 45-51 and week 2
· You have a good command of English (spoken and written)
We offer a temporary position as a teaching assistant for approximately 120 hours. Salary depends on age and year of study.
