This winter school - taking place in Can Tho, Vietnam - is meant to give general information of the Dutch system to Vietnamese participants, about the law concerning property of real estate. This includes for example purchasing and selling of real estate as well as the financial part like mortgages.

Not only civil law, like ownership and the ways of obtaining and mortgage, but also fiscal law like real estate tax, income tax, inheritance tax and transfer tax.

Another key part of the course will be the expropriation of real estate. When is this possible, how does it work and what are the consequences in different countries?

The Vietnamese teachers will give a small overview about the situation of land ownership in Vietnam at the moment. This makes it possible to compare both systems by use of practical examples.
