Skating on Natural Ice
If you’ve been outside this week you’re to have noticed that it’s colder than usual. A lot colder. Maybe not everyone’s favourite weather conditions, but it does mean that ice skating on natural ice is possible this weekend. The Noorderplantsoen, Bernoulliplein and the Paterswoldsemeer are excellent candidates to make your first steps on the ice. After all, ice skating is a very important mode of transportation in the Netherlands.
Hollywood’s grand movie awards are being handed out this week. Regardless of your opinions on the award show itself, this is a good opportunity to see the nominated movies that you’ve missed, since Pathe is screening them all this weekend. Alternatively, get in the mood by watching one of the movies featured in our blog.
USVA Jam Session
USVA organizes a brand-new jam session this week. Everyone is welcome to come and participate if they’d like. Of course just listening is perfectly okay too. Remember to bring your own instrument if you want in on the fun!
Dark Side of the Moon
Inspired by the music of Pink Floyd this sound and visual extravaganza features the entirety of the seminal The Dark Side of the Moon album from 1973, accompanied by mesmeric visualisations projected across DOT’s entirety immersive 20m dome.
