University tuition fees

You will have to pay university tuition fees if you do not (or no longer) satisfy all the requirements for the statutory tuition fees at the moment of registration or during the academic year. There are two categories: university tuition fees I and the higher university tuition fees II. Which category applies to you depends on your personal situation.

University tuition fees I
The amount for university tuition fees I is identical to the statutory tuition fees. You qualify for university tuition fees I if one of the following situations applies to you.

UAF
You have been recognized as student refugees by the UAF.

Erasmus Mundus degree programme
You have been recognized by your faculty as a participant in an Erasmus Mundus degree programme at the University of Groningen and you do not qualify for statutory tuition fees.

University tuition fees II
You must pay the higher university tuition fees II if you do not satisfy the conditions for the statutory tuition fees and not qualify for university tuition fees I. The level of the university tuition fees II is determined by the selected bachelor degree programme or master degree programme.
