On the portal, you will find simple ‘how-to’ videos and links to various relevant resources. You will also find links to useful courses. All this information is available online and is for free!

For whom?

This portal is relevant for all who need to present and write at an academic level: Bachelor, Master and PhD students.

Nestor

The accompanying Nestor site offers extra useful websites and various exercises both in Dutch and English. Currently, this is only available for University of Groningen students

Why?

Academic writing and presenting skills are essential in higher education and therefore require appropriate attention. During your studies, you will have to write essays, research reports and Bachelor and Master's theses, and you will have to give presentations on a variety of subjects, possibly in another language than your own. This may not be easy, as there are many issues which must be addressed: structuring information drafting a thesis proposal building a logical argument writing a paper presenting a research proposal. This portal has been created to guide you in these matters.

The online portal is available for free:
