Reaching clear agreements is essential for this. The University of Groningen has agreed to offer open courses on the British platform FutureLearn. Based on that agreement, the University can use these materials for its own education. The platform gets a temporary, non-exclusive license to show University of Groningen materials. The university receives the data for analysis and a percentage of the revenue of sold certificates. The university has committed itself to ensure that participating lecturers sign an image waiver, thereby abstaining the right to control the use of their image.
