Other repositories
Other data repositories than DataverseNL may be more suitable for your research data, scripts or software, depending on external collaborations or the need for a subject-specific data repository that provides typical features required in your field.
Main criteria when choosing a repository
The DCC applies six main criteria when recommending repositories:
-
Its clarity about the responsible organisation(s) and their longevity
-
Whether it supports the FAIR principles
-
Its transparency in terms of use, terms of access, preservation of metadata and files, as well as ownership and rights
-
Its user support
-
It is preferably based in the European Economic Area (EEA)
-
That the metadata of high quality can reliably be imported into Pure
Recommended repositories
The following selection of repositories is well used by researchers of the University of Groningen and meets the criteria mentioned above. Support by the DCC on the use and curation of archived and published data in these repositories is limited to advice, as the DCC does not hold administrator roles and rights to these repositories. DataverseNL is included in the list only for comparison.
