Redesign, enrich and transform your course with open materials
On 7 April 2020 information specialists from the University of Groningen Library and didactic experts from Education Support & Innovation will host a workshop focused on helping you redesign and enrich your course (in whole or in part) with open materials.
We know from experience that you may want to try new and interesting things with your courses and assignments but simply lack the support, opportunity, or time to do so. We’re teachers ourselves, so we get it. That’s why we’ve put together a fun, interactive workshop – to give you the time, space and help you need to try new things.
|Date||Tuesday 7 April 2020 (9.00 - 17.00) and short second session TBD|
|Target group||University teachers and teaching teams|
|Study load||15 hours (preparation included)|
|Number of participants||6-12 participants|
|Location||University of Groningen Library Zernike (Duisenberg Building)|
During the workshop, we’ll work alongside you and provide:
- Didactic advice
- Assistance with finding materials and resources
- Help exploring all the cool things that can be done with reusable and open materials
- Expertise and advice in the area of open education
- Copyright assistance
Your participation won’t just benefit your own course – you will also help us better understand your needs, so we can work on developing new services and infrastructure to make your teaching life easier.
The workshop will take one full day, on 7 April. A shorter half-day return session will be scheduled a month later, based on participants’ availability.
Just in case you’re still not convinced - did we mention that lunch, coffee, tea and snacks are free?
For any inquiries or questions regarding the workshop, please feel free to contact the Education Support team at email@example.com.
After completing the training, you will be able to:
- Communicate and collaborate using a variety of online tools
- Experiment with a variety of apps and extensions that can help you save time
- Explore tips and tricks for effective classroom technology integration
- Create collaborative resources
