Job application training

Sub Title

Apply with style!

Introduction

This workshop provides the tools you need to succeed at a written application and at interviews, in order to land your desired job.

Aim

To make your application stand out from the crowd and to feel confident about your performance at the job interview.

Intended for

Academics who like to improve their application skills.

Content

This workshop will help you to write successful applications. We’ll look at different parts of the application process. We’ll help you to understand the skills you have gained through work experience and your studies and show you how you can match them to job advertisements.

We’ll share top tips with you to help you write exceptional applications, CVs (or résumés), covering letters and personal statements and provide insight from employers on what they look for in candidates.

Also we’ll help you prepare for the job interview: how to research the organisation so you can answer that frequently asked question ‘why do you want to work for us?’ and go through some common interview questions.
