English for professionals - Speaking Courses
|Study load:||Contact hours: 10 x 2 hours, 10 hours of self-study.|

|Target group:||Professionals from business organisations, University of Groningen and Hanze University of Applied Sciences.|
Are you interested in participating in meetings more effectively? Have you ever struggled presenting your work in public? Apply for this course and learn how to communicate more confidently and spontaneously!
The specially designed sessions provide dynamic, practical and skills-based training for your career. Working in small groups and using a hands-on approach, you will improve your oral skills and strengthen your confidence to use English in various situations .
Depending on the needs and wishes of the group, we may work on skills in the following areas:
- discussion and debate
- pronunciation and intonation
- preparing and delivering short talks and presentations
- effectively participating in meetings
- opinions and viewpoints
- participating in conversations and small talk for a variety of topics
We aim to design our courses to match the needs of the participants. To be able to register for one of our courses, you should have your language level determined by one of our English teachers during our English Office hours. You can make an appointment online.

Minimum 8 and maximum 10 participants
After successful completion of the course, a certificate of participation will be awarded. A minimum of 75% attendance is required. If required, an official certificate stating the participant’s CEFR level for oral language production can be provided at an additional fee.
A contact hour lasts 50 minutes (excluding break). Classes start on the hour.
