Do you want to see which books you have borrowed or reserved? Go to SmartCat, click Sign in and log in with your user number and password. Or click on this button:
No account yet? The first time you log in, you need to register via Set password and enter your user number (the number on the back of your student card or UMCG card which starts with 04...). You wil then receive an e-mail which enables you to choose a password. Students can login in SmartCat with their S-number.
You no longer need to renew your books!
As long as no other borrower needs a book, its loan will be automatically renewed: for staff up to a maximum of 24 times 4 weeks, for students and others to a maximum of 12 times 4 weeks.
Fines
When another borrower reserves a book, you have to return it by the end of the loan period. You will receive a reminder via e-mail every 5 days.
Not returning a book will result in a fine of € 2,50 per reminder up to a maximum of € 10,- per book. Apart from this, after four reminders we will fine you with the replacement costs of the book.
These fines are applied if:
- borrowed books are not being returned on time
- borrowed books are not being returned after the maximum period of loan
