Aug 2015 - Your use of Pure UMCG so far!

07 August 2015

Here are some stats and facts about the use of Pure UMCG since the launch in September 2014.

  • The database of Pure now holds 58.184 records of all sorts. Scientific articles, peer-reviewed and not-peer-reviewed, reviews, including a wide range of activities connected to UMCG-researchers. See all publications on the Research Portal of the University of Groningen.
  • In Pure, you too can make overviews of all these records and filter them into lists for your departments, the output of your staff by names, Institutes and Programms and more.
Here is a short video instruction.
  • For 2014 the UMCG has 3544 records registered in the Pure database. See all 2014 publications
  • For 2015 there are already 1853 records registered for the UMCG. See all 2015 publications
  • While most people use PubMed as online source for import directly from within Pure, we also promote and stimulate the import from Web of Science, as these records generally have better metadata, complete affiliation lists for all authors AND they will connect your citations to the profile page and make them visible for all. Always import ALSO the WoS record when possible. The library will then take care of the "merging" of the records into one.
  • Pure has an updated list of staff connected to the 5 research Institutes and Programms, visible and browsable on the web. Go to the Research Database.
  • Manage you CV in Pure and always have an updated publications list to present online. Here is how to do that
  • Ask the CMB if you want to know more!
We can organize hands-on workshops and demo's for your research staff, in the library or on location.
