One thing I learned the past years is that studying at the University is highly theoretical. Much of what we learn is knowledge from books instead of applying knowledge in practice. This may result in students feeling insecure when entering the labour market – they might feel they are not ready yet. Here at the Career Services we are trying to take away a piece of that insecurity. By attending workshops and events you will learn what is needed when entering the labour market and how to put your qualities into practice. As the Dutch saying goes: “good preparation is half the job”.
But this is not the only insecurity that students might face. We are living in a time where we wonder whether "good" is still "good enough". I believe that every student has their own qualities and skills. Here at the Career Services we are doing our outmost best to bring your personal qualities upfront as best as possible. One way to success is to distinguish yourself from the others. By checking your CV and cover letter, we can help you doing so. In such a way that good will be good enough.
