“What do you want to be when you grow up?” As a child you often knew the answer in a second and even had two or three options. But growing up you realize that becoming an astronaut, a king or a professional soccer player isn’t realistic at all. So you choose a study and assume your career path is clear from that point on. The opposite is true. There seem to be endless possibilities and opportunities. But what career suits you most? And how do you pursue the career that suits you? These questions are the grown-up equivalents of the question asked at the beginning.
I am currently in my first year of the Master Applied Physics and these questions are as relevant as ever. That’s why Career Services caught my interest. Career Services helps students answer these questions and connects students to the job market. We do this by giving workshops and trainings on several topics concerning employability and by helping students with their CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.
I am thrilled to be a part of Career Services and hope to see you soon at the iShop to answer any questions you might have!
