Your studies at the University of Groningen prepare you for the future. Nowadays, however, being a student is not about gaining theoretical knowledge alone. Attending lectures, learning for exams and writing papers is just one part – the other part is about requiring complementary skills. You might be a good team player, an organizational talent or you might possess specific leadership skills. No matter what qualities you have, it is important to foster your capabilities. Whether you are graduating or still studying, you will need to gather all these skills in order to try and find a job, an internship or some other activity that will be part of your future career.
As a master student in International Human Rights Law, I know that in the near future I will be competing at the job market too. In the meantime I have become aware of the challenges that lie ahead, and I understand that you might need some help along the way. At Career Services, we will try to help you reach your goal and provide support on how to get where you want to be. By offering various means of assistance, Career Services can help you bridge the gap between university life and your future career.
If you have any questions, or want to get your CV or cover letter checked, don’t hesitate to stop by our office. We will be pleased to help you!
