I believe every student at the University of Groningen has talents. Talents we would like to show in our motivation letters and CV's when we enter the labour market. We all know it is essential to be able to show what you can bring to a business when you are applying for a job. But to express those talents in just a few pages is not as easy as it might look like.
NEXT wants to help RUG students to make this step: the big and sometimes frightening step from the safe study environment to the labour market. We do this in several ways: for example by offering different kinds of workshops, ranging from a linked-in workshop to a training about self-assessment. Furthermore we have a database with placements, part-time jobs and internships. But we also check motivation letters and CV's, and that is where I might be able to help you.
This year, I would like to help as many RUG students as possible by proofreading their CV and cover letter. By discussing your CV with somebody who does not know you at all, you might be able to find new insights on how to express your talents. We are here to help you with that, so feel free to step by our office!
