As an alumni ambassador, I would like to spread the word around my home country Bulgaria about the University of Groningen, being a worldwide top 100 listed university of high academic quality. I highly value this opportunity, since I find it useful and helpful to provide prospective students with practical information as well as to show them my second home - the Netherlands in the best light possible, at least the way I see it. Moreover, my experience, studying and working in Groningen, would answer some questions directly with an example, which, in my view, leads to a better understanding. Furthermore, hearing such personal info from a person with similar cultural background would be more appropriate and I assume prospective students would find it more reliable and would enable them to make a decision more easily. Last and not least, I would try to maintain a strong network among RUG alumni in order to keep the Groningen spirit!
