About studying in Groningen

Having the opportunity to study and live in Groningen was one of the most valuable experiences I have had in my life. What I liked the most about living in Groningen is that I could balance my everything in my life at the same time, both in terms of personal and academic activities. I highly recommend anyone to experience the activities arranged by the University and the international student association ESN, such as some of the interesting conferences where I obtained additional knowledge or the parties where I met new friends and broadened my international network.

I never doubted the University of Groningen’s academic quality. During lectures, I could feel that I was in a great working environment, where people exchanged brilliant thoughts and ideas. Most of my international friends would say that University of Groningen has high academic standards (scoring system) compared to their home countries and I highly agree with this statement.

Since I arrived in Groningen, I have seen that the locals are very friendly, helpful and open-minded. This reminds me of people from my home country (Indonesia) who always prioritize social values. Also, Groningen has taught me how to maintain my health through cycling, which is in my opinion almost addictive. That’s how fun it is!

Thank you Groningen for these wonderful experiences.
