About stuying in Groningen

I wanted to study in a top university and graduate from an English-taught master programme that would make a difference, thus choosing the University of Groningen wasn’t a difficult task. For me, studying in Groningen for two years (pre-master and master) was a life changing experience. I was guided by well prepared, demanding and inspiring professors, had access to up-to-date resources and a healthy studying atmosphere. Groningen is also well renowned for the liveliest student life and the best sports facilities for students, details that bring equilibrium to the daily student life. Besides the above, I’ve met some of the most wonderful people I know and I’ve developed an addiction for my bike! No wonder they say ‘Er gaat niets boven Groningen’ (there’s nothing above Groningen!).

What I took from the MSc IE&B are skills that differentiate me from other students in Romania, for example, analytical skills, critical thinking, the ability to work both in a team as well as individually, writing researched based papers as well as effective studying and the confidence that I can do great things. The international orientation of the programme gave me the chance to meet wonderful people from all over the world, work together and transform cultural barriers into advantages. I will always be an ambassador of Groningen, because I believe in its unique atmosphere! I recommend it to everyone who is looking forward to combining studies with sports and fun!
