New Eric Bleumink Fund bursaries awarded

This year, the Eric Bleumink Fund (EBF) has awarded six scholarships to talented students from developing countries. With such a scholarship, they can continue to grow personally and professionally, and make a leading contribution to the development of their own country.

Andyna Giya Rosaputri Tarigan (1992) is from Indonesia and received a scholarship for the one-year Supply Chain Management master's program at the University of Groningen. In the future, she wants to contribute to the supply chain development of archipelagic countries, such as Indonesia. Agung Tri Nugraha (1994) is also from Indonesia and he received a scholarship for the one-year Environmental and Infrastructure Planning master. His dream is to become a lecturer. He believes that education is the most important factor in influencing the future of his country. Jarvin Mutatiina (1994) is from Uganda and he received the scholarship for his two-year Computing Science master's program. After completing his master’s degree, Jarvin wants to coordinate technological innovations and use research findings with Data Science at the forefront. Ethiopian Samuel Zinabu Sharew (1984) follows the master Theology & Religious Studies with a specialization in Religion, Conflict and Globalization. He wants to contribute the resolution of and maintain durable peace in his country and his region, the Horn of Africa. Indonesian Zakiatul Wildani (1994) follows the one-year master Econometrics, Operations Research and Actuarial Studies with a specialization in Actuarial Studies. In the future Zakiatul would like to make a contribution to a more professional, facts-and-figures driven approach to the development of her country. Tilahun Tibebu (1986) is from Ethiopia and follows the one-year Global Criminal Law master's program. His ultimate goal is to become a distinguished professor of Criminal Law, so that he can play an important role in the reconciliation process of ethnic and religious conflicts in his country.
