Public Health Accelerator
Menzis, UMCG and the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health have started the Public Health Accelerator to make preventive interventions available to as many people as possible.
Researchers, entrepreneurs and societal organisations are working on the development of preventive interventions. Successful pilots are being carried out and research is often hopeful about their health effects. However, in practice it is difficult to scale up the projects, because people do not know the answers to questions like:
- What is the business case?
- Where can I find suitable funding?
- What are the health effects of this intervention?
- How can we make sure that as many people as possible benefit?
The Public Health Accelerator helps answer these questions and connects innovative preventive concepts with science and funding opportunities, in order to realise their growth potential.
