Arts in Health
The mission of Arts in Health is to give creative artmaking a permanent place in the care institutions of the North. Research shows that participation in the arts can support human wellbeing, by shortening the recovery time of patients, prevent burnout in healthcare staff and promote healthier lifestyles in the community.
● Work with hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community centers, advising the development of sustainable arts in health programs in support of wellbeing.
● Develop arts in health education and training programs for university students and mid-career professionals.
● Facilitate arts in health research.
