Throughout the year, DCS organizes Dutch conversation meetings for partners who acquired Dutch language level A2. During 12 weekly meetings (1,5 hrs each) you will have the opportunity to practice your Dutch with a native speaker in a small group. There is a maximum of 6 participants. We will help you understand and speak Dutch in a pleasant way. We will talk about daily life, hobbies, family, children, work, food, sports and other subjects of your choice. The focus lies on speech and pronunciation. Grammar and writing will be kept to a minimum. Registered partners will receive information by email when new groups start. Sometimes there is a place available in a current group. If you want to know if there might be a place for you, contact Anouschka at email@example.com .
My local friend matches international residents who are looking to integrate with Groningers. The one-on-one contacts are meant to provide language support for new residents, and to bring old and new Groningers into contact with each other.
Check out Cafe de las Lenguas , a language café that is open each Thursday evening at the Harmony Building from 7-9 pm, or Gezellig Nederlands. Gezellig Nederlands organizes informal Dutch meetings on Monday evenings at café de Bastille. Also interesting for practising Dutch are the language cafes of Humanitas , that are open at different times and in different neighbourhoods in Groningen.
