Deniz Başkent

Prof. Başkent's research interests cover a range of fields related auditory perception, reflecting her multidisciplinary background in engineering and medical sciences. In her research, Başkent investigates complex interactions between aging and hearing impairment, as well as effects of signal processing of hearing aids and cochlear implants. Her ultimate goals is to contribute to knowledge that can be utilized to increase quality of life of hearing-impaired people of all ages.
