A hanging garden
Lisette Stevens, Menno Stellingwerff and Malenthe Teunis, three Honours College students, won the Green Mind Award this summer. This is the biennial University of Groningen award that goes to the best idea for making the University more sustainable. The students came up with the plan in the Honours College Master's Lab. Their idea is to make a hanging garden and a roof garden for the University Library, thus creating a green oasis in the built-up city centre.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
