Dr L.J. Mouton - Faculty of Medical Sciences/UMCG
Noor Mouton is a University Lecturer at the UG Centre of Human Movement Sciences. She studied Human Movement Sciences at the VU University Amsterdam and received a PhD for her research into the link between emotions and motor skills in the central nervous system. She worked as a part-time teacher at the Dutch Sports Association for people with mental disabilities.
Since her appointment in 1990, Mouton has been teaching Anatomy of the Posture and Locomotor System and Neuro-Anatomy, in close cooperation with colleagues, playing a key role herself. Anatomy teaching owes its very good reputation at the Faculty in part to her professional and critical contributions. Students as well as colleagues highly praise the content, didactics and flawless organization of the practicals. Despite her long track record, her teaching has never been subject to wear, thanks to her continuous drive towards development and innovation. Her enthusiastic teaching and the excellent organization of her teaching are exemplary. Mouton demands a lot from her students, but her involvement invariably leads to excellent teaching evaluations. Her constructive and professional contributions are highly valued, she is a good colleague and fits in perfectly with the team as a whole. Moreover, Mouton is an excellent researcher and PhD supervisor.
