Use of the University logo in other house styles

The logo may be used within the context of collaborations with third parties in which the University has a share of 50 percent or more. If the University’s share is less than 50 percent, the logo may only be used after permission from the Board of the University.

The following rules apply to the use of the corporate logo.  


Only the appropriate colours (‘RUG red’, black and white) may be used in the logo. In other house styles, the white (reversed) version may often be useful.

Position and size

If the relationship is not that of a dual brand, the University logo may not be placed at the top of the page or at the same level as the principal logo. The University logo should also be smaller than the principal logo.

In all other cases, the standard rules for use of the University logo apply.
