My research delves into the intricate dynamics of intergroup relations, with a focus on various facets such as help and prosocial behaviors, intergroup contact, and the influence of social norms. I emphasize understanding the role of emotions, empathy, dehumanization, meta-dehumanization, outgroup apologies, prejudice, and discrimination in both hostile and non-hostile settings. In addition to exploring intergroup dynamics, my work delves into intragroup processes, particularly examining issues related to polarization and/or conspiracy theories. I also dedicate a significant portion of my research to investigating gender norms, gender roles, and gender behaviors, aiming to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexities within this domain. Moreover, my research extends to the critical examination of violence, encompassing topics such as sexual violence and political violence/wars, as well as the lasting effects of trauma.
