My research focuses on biomechanics and how it changes over time, for example as a result of an intervention. I am also interested in the integration of technology into healthcare treatments for monitoring and rehabilitation purposes.

Typical examples of my research are the study of upper limb coordination and muscle activity in people with dystrophy affecting the shoulder muscles and the analysis of performance of pattern-recognition upper limb prostheses. I am currently involved in the biomechanical testing of upper limb exoskeletons for persons with muscular dystrophy and in the development of portable motion capture technologies for virtual tele-rehabilitation after stroke.
