Moving to the Netherlands

The staff of the Immigration Service Desk (ISD) is specialized in Dutch immigration law. The ISD applies for (MVV) visas and residence permits of all prospective and current staff of the University of Groningen.

Regarding these applications, PhD students, guest researchers, and bursary PhD students are all considered as staff members. Also, the ISD can apply for visas and residence permits for family members of all prospective and current staff.

Moreover, the ISD assists all international guests of the University on matters related to working at the University of Groningen and provides practical information about insurances, medical care, housing, university facilities, or any other aspect of daily life.
