We have been teaching online since 13 March, and will this will continue until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. In many cases, online versions of lectures, seminars, examinations and assessments were designed in a relatively short space of time, and everyone is now studying or working remotely. Most of our academic research is also being conducted remotely. A customized solution for practicals is still being sought.
We are doing our utmost to uphold the quality of regular university teaching in our online teaching activities. The UG will remain ‘open’ after 1 September 2020 too and we guarantee to provide university education, even in the event of a second lockdown. Part of our teaching activities will likely take place inside our buildings and another part online. We are looking for the best hybrid solution. The in-person component must obviously be properly organized. We will take social distancing and any other government measures into account for as long as they are in place.
