The new academic year can start without social distancing. This means that on-site teaching is once again possible. As from 25 September the maximum group size of 75 people will no longer apply and you you will no longer be obliged to wear a face mask when moving around the UG buildings.


CO2 detectors have been installed in all classrooms without mechanical ventilation to monitor the air quality, including ventilation instructions.

University Library

The UB has decided to make all study stations (2,100) available for use as from Monday 27 September. Study stations must be reserved in advance.

Working from home

Work from home if you can, and go to the office if you must. Please discuss this with your manager.

More information about working from home and on location will follow shortly.

Respect other people’s choices

Everyone may wear a face mask in the buildings and/or keep their distance from others if this makes them feel more comfortable. Please respect other people’s choices in this matter.
