Interdisciplinary education for employability, lifelong learning & citizenship
CoP leader (as of 1 February 2022): dr. Marline Lisette Wilders, Assistant Professor Arts in Society, UCG and Faculty of Arts
In this community of practice, we bring together lecturers to engage in dialogue about innovative practices in interdisciplinary teaching to get inspired, learn from each other, and further improve the quality of our interdisciplinary teaching. We want to promote collaborations, explore new possibilities, and take new initiatives in interdisciplinary teaching. Here, we build on existing connections across disciplines in research, expand on them in education and optimize visibility to our own community of lecturers as well as to our students by displaying interdisciplinary research and its rationale as well as methods. As a community,
we connect to the four schools (Aletta Jacobs and the three newly founded schools), that focus on interdisciplinary research and teaching as well as the ENLIGHT network. The community also works towards the creation of an online toolbox with materials for teachers on interdisciplinary education. Another important pillar is to provide information about possibilities for funding (grants,
programmes) for developing interdisciplinary education, in collaboration with TAG Grants support.
