Open Office: Designing for New Ways of Teaching (EN)
Inspired by new methods in teaching but need some advice in how to possibly apply it to your teaching? Having an objective (and friendly!) outsider's perspective on your course design can often lead to effective and time-saving improvements. In this open office hour by Rick Huizinga and Esther Visscher (ESI Educational Advisors), you are welcome to come with any and all questions regarding your course setup!
Join this open office at Blackboard Collaborate anytime during the scheduled session and we will invite you to a separate breakout group for a discussion. If both ESI advisors are busy with other teachers when you join, simply wait in the main room and we'll be with you as soon as we can.
The open office hours will be hosted by Rick Huizinga and Esther Visscher. As educational advisors Rick and Esther are experienced in supporting teachers in a variety of educational areas. They routinely advise teachers in instructional methods as well as work with them on course planning.
Thursday 22 April 13.00-14.30
Open Office Hours with Assessment Advisors (EN)
Are you developing an exam or assignment but running into obstacles? Or are you curious about alternative assessment methods? During this virtual open office hour, Alicia Streppel and Wim Meerholz (ESI) are available to answer any questions you may have regarding assessment, whether general (e.g. ''can you give me some information about formative assessment?'') or specific (e.g. ''could you take a look at my assignment instructions'?''). Feel free to drop in at any time during the session!
The open office hours will be hosted by Alicia Streppel and Wim Meerholz. Alicia Streppel is an educational and assessment advisor, as well as a trainer at ESI. In the ten year-period prior to this she worked as a teacher and coordinator in higher education. Wim Meerholz is an educational and assessment advisor at ESI. After completing his Ph.D. in Social Psychology, he worked as a lecturer at the Psychology department at the UG, where he continues to teach parttime.
