Opening hours and closing days

Due to the coronavirus, most University buildings are closed. Read more about the Coronavirus measures.

General office hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. - 5 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays the buildings of the University are closed.

On the following dates in 2021 the University of Groningen will be closed:

• Friday 1 January - New Year's Day
• Friday 2 April - Good Friday
• Sunday 4 & Monday 5 April - Easter Day & Easter Monday
• Tuesday 27 April - King's Day
• Wednesday 5 May - Liberation Day
• Thursday 13 May - Ascension Day
• Sunday 23 & Monday 24 May - Whit Sunday & Whit Monday
• Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 December - Saturday 1 January 2021 - Christmas until New Year's Day
