Students about 'Nederland leest'

Nederland leest (the Netherlands read) is an annual event to stimulate reading in the Netherlands. In 2010 the book 'de Grote Zaal' by Jacoba van Velde was selected. This book was provided for free. The Science Shop Language, Culture and Communication investigated if secondary school students knew about the campaign and what they thought of the book.

The conclusion from the rapport was that a lot of students never heard of the campaign until their teacher told them something about it. Both students and teacher were positive about the website that has been developed for students in secondary school. The rapport can be read here, but only in Dutch.
