PCDI “Postdoc Career Development Initiative“ is a small organisation that aims to improve awareness of career planning and opportunities among postdocs and their employers. We bring together scientists, universities, and key players in the life sciences industry.

What is the postdoc retreat? The annual PCDI postdoc retreat prepares you for a scientific career in academia, in industry, or somewhere else. Our retreats are open exclusively to postdoc and final year PhD student in the life science, health and technology. Workshops in career planning and transferable skills, meet and greets with employers, and discussions on shaping a career in the life sciences are all part of the programme.

Participation is free for UMCG postdocs.  Once again, Sector F will cover the costs from the ‘Training and Education’ budget on condition that the staff member has permission to attend from his/her manager. You can apply by sending a mail at the UMCG contact person:
