The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is eager to welcome guests and students from abroad. The information on this site is meant for exchange students, bursary (PhD) students, and other guests who intend to stay at the Medical Faculty of the UMCG for a part of an academic year, a whole academic year, or longer.
Student and staff mobility is an important part of the Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci programme of the European Union. Many students and staff visit Groningen within the framework of these programmes. Beside these EU programmes, the Medical Faculty has formalized links with universities in the United States, (South) Africa, Russia, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Japan, and Peru to facilitate student and staff exchanges.
The International Office of the Medical Faculty provides advice and support to international students and guests. We will be pleased to assist you with all kinds of questions and enquiries.
