Electives for Freemovers

Every year we welcome a lot of requests from foreign students who like to do a clinical internship, a scientific research project or some Bachelor courses in the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). If you are interested in studying at or doing an internship in the UMCG for a certain period, please fill out this Applicationform.

Mind that only forms that are filled out completely, are being considered. Also mind that we cannot give you any guarantee that we will succeed in finding you a place in the UMCG.

Not free of obligations

Mind that a request for doing an internship in our hospital is not free of obligations! It takes a lot of effort to make all the arrangements, so if, for any reason, you want to repeal your request let us know as soon as possible.

Costs of housing and living  

Mind that freemovers have to pay those costs by themselves. Monthly costs for living in Groningen amount to 600 Euro’s at the least.  

The University of Groningen does not have a campus with student accommodation, so housing has to be arranged invidually. If your are accepted as a student at the UMCG hospital the International Office of the Institute for Medical Education will send you information about the different options.
