Generating new knowledge is an important commitment of the University Center of Psychiatry (UCP) and the University Center of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (UCKJP) in Groningen. The UCP research program is extensive and multi-disciplinary, ranging from genetics to health services research, with a focus on the epidemiological approach. Our major theme is emotional disorders. Secondary themes are psychotic disorders and developmental disorders. Developmental disorders is the major theme of the UCKJP research program. Secondary theme is emotional disorders. The UCKJP research program focusses on both etiology, assessment and treatment evaluation of developmental and emotional disorders in childhood and adolescence.
