Shelter City Guest Lecture

Since last year, the University College Groningen (UCG) has been working together with the Municipality and other organisations based in Groningen in the framework of the Shelter City project. UCG has successfully hosted three human rights defenders (HRDs) so far and now we are very happy to announce that the fourth HRD has arrived in Groningen as of September.

We would like to invite you to the first lecture organised by Shelter City Groningen, where Anania, a political jour...nalist from Ethiopia will speak about his experiences and struggles to maintain the freedom of speech in his home country. The lecture is taking place on Thursday the 19th of October at 17:30, in the Lecture Hall at the University College Groningen (Hoendiepskade 24, 9718 BG, Groningen). The discussion will start at 17:30 and will include an open discussion in the form of a Q&A. At around 19:00 drinks will be provided in order to allow all guests to network and have an informal chat.
