The study in Industrial Engineering and Management is a joint venture by the Faculties of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and that of Management and Organization. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences provides the Executive Officer and its secretariat.
The responsibility for the course programme rests with the training centre of Industrial Engineering and Management. The Board of Education liaises with the lecturers involved, and accordingly provides the actual filling in of the course programme. Students are likewise are represented on the Educational Board.
Furthermore an Examination Board bears responsibility for everything concerning the exams. The Examination Board consists entirely of permanent members of staff and at graduations is actually often represented by members of staff who were involved in the course programme of the examinee.
Industrial Engineering and Management is accommodated in its own ‘pavilion’ on the south side of Nijenborgh 4 in the Zernikecomplex in the northwest of the town of
Groningen
. The management team, the course coordinator and the secretariat are housed here.
